Bono Is Back On His Feet

U2 star Bono is back on his feet following emergency surgery last month - he has been seen out enjoying a lunch date as he recuperates in the South of France.

The Irish rockers were forced to postpone the next leg of their world tour and scrap their appearance at Britain's Glastonbury festival after the frontman was admitted to hospital for an operation to his back.

Bono is now recovering at his luxury villa in southern France, and he proved he's regaining his fitness after he drove himself to the Hotel La Voile d'Or in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat for lunch with friends on Tuesday.

The outing marks the first time the singer has been seen out in public since he underwent surgery.
