Joan Jett says she has never heard Britney Spears' version of her classic song 'I Love Rock 'n' Roll'.Britney covered the track in 2002 and despite it being released worldwide, the song's most famous singer insists she hasn't heard it - and doubts Britney believes in the sentiment.70-year-old Joan - who made the song a hit with The Blackhearts in 1982 - said: I've never even heard Britney's version. I mean, I've obviously heard about it, but I never understood that whole idea."She added: "I mean, people usually cover a song that says something about them, but I doubt she loves rock 'n' roll. Maybe she likes songs."Britney sang the song in her movie 'Crossroads' and promoting the release afterwards, said it is one of her favourites.However, she incorrectly cited Pat Benatar as the singer, rather than The Arrows, who wrote and released the original in 1975.Videos you might like
