Bruce Springsteen Plays Surprise Set With Gaslight Anthem

Bruce Springsteen surprised fans of American band Gaslight Anthem on Friday night (09Dec11) by performing with them on stage.
The group was playing a gig at New Jersey's Convention Hall when The Boss stepped beside them midway through their set.
Springsteen, who previously worked on the group's track The '59 Sound, played guitar as they rocked out to their song American Slang in front ofthe stunned crowd.
Steven Van Zandt, from the Born To Run hitmaker's E Street Band, also made a surprise appearance on the same night by playing alongside AmericanIdol champion David Cook at New York City's Irving Plaza.
Van Zandt took guitar duties as Cook played songs including The Beatles' Eight Days A Week and Led Zeppelin's Rock and Roll.
