Bruce Springsteen
Bruce Springsteen is proud of his Born In The USA roots, so much so that he plans to join soul queen Aretha Franklin in welcoming President-elect Barack Obama to the White House in Washington, D.C. later this month.
Franklin is hotly tipped to be among the stars performing at Obama's inauguration on 20 January, but Springsteen is being billed to perform at the National Mall on 18 January.
The rocker, who one of Obama's biggest celebrity supporters, will perform a free concert on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, according to the Washington Post newspaper.
Springsteen performed a handful of Obama benefits during the Democrat's election campaign last year and joined the President-to-be at a campaign stop in Cleveland, Ohio.
I wonder if Bruce would play at my birthday in June? Well he seems to enjoy hanging out with the cool kids.
