Caleb Followill Feared 27th Birthday Death

Kings Of Leon hunk Caleb Followill received a very special gift on his 27th birthday in January - life.

The Use Somebody singer feared he'd die on his birthday after taking "devil pills" the night before - and he was so relieved to wake up the following morning.

He tells Spin magazine, "I really thought I was going to die. We were in L.A., I was drunk and someone handed me some devil pills - Vicodins or something. I remember lying in bed thinking, 'I'm gonna f**kin' die on my 27th birthday. I'm gonna be a rock cliche.'

"When I woke up the next morning, I looked at my girlfriend, and my first words were, 'I'm alive'."

Ironically, many rock icons have died at 27. They include Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain, Janis Joplin, Brian Jones and Jim Morrison.
