Dirty Pretty Things insist they didn't split up for a Libertines reunion.The band announced their demise after three years together earlier this week, but stressed it wasn't so that frontman Carl Barat could reform his old band with Pete Doherty.Bassist Didz Hammond has followed their statement by insisting the singer has no plans to return to his old group, but added: "Never say never - but certainly not for the forseeable future." According to the musician, Carl is planning to take a break from music to decide where his future lies.He added to BBC 6 Music: "It has just run its course a little bit. I think we all want to get on with other things, particularly Carl, who just wants to have some space and time to work out what he's gonna do next."Didz also stressed that the band members are not planning on quitting music completely.He added: "Me and Anthony [Rossomando, guitarist] and Carl have always got little diddles hanging around, but I think we just want to get on and do something else."
