Country music sensation Carrie Underwood is to be inducted into the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame just two years after winning talent show American Idol.

The Jesus Take The Wheel singer is one of three performers who will be honoured in her home state.

She'll be joined by keyboardist Rocky Frisco and vocalist Ramona Reed, who performed on the Grand Ole Opry in the 1940s - and later became a member of Bob Wills' band, the Texas Playboys.

Underwood, Frisco and Reed will perform at the 13th annual Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame induction ceremony next month (Sep09).
