Cheryl Cole looks like she’s going to be stepping in bandmade Nadine Coyle’s US toes in no time after Simon Cowell has announced plans to make Chezza a star across the pond.

Whilst we read a few weeks ago that Simon was ditching American Idol and starting a US version of The X Factor, it looks as though he’s going to be taking Cheryl along for the ride.

Speaking to a paper this weekend, Simon said; “I'd love to have Cheryl on the show, we have a great chemistry." Before putting in his ten penneth on the Ashley cole saga; “Cheryl's a tough cookie, she'll be fine.”
