Supermodel Christie Brinkley turned an outing to see revived Broadway musical West Side Story into a life lesson for her teenage son - in a bid towarn him about the dangers of gangs.

The blonde beauty admits she's worried her 13-year-old son Jack - from her marriage to ex Peter Cook - will get in with the wrong crowd, and shesaw the opening of the musical as an ideal opportunity to teach him all about gang violence.

The production features rival gangs from different cultural backgrounds, whose fights turn fatal when one leader dates another's sister.
