Eric Clapton is holding an auction for The Crossroads Rehabilitation Centre in Antigua at Bonhams in New York, March 2011.
Clapton is selling off dozens of his guitars and amplifiers including a custom built black Fender Eric Clapton Signature Stratocaster which is aimed to fetch up to $30,000 (£20,000).
The auction will also see bidding for 70 of his guitar amps which includes 1970 Marshall vintage speaker cabinets which he used during his 1970 heyday with Derek and The Dominoes.
This will be the first time the British musician has put his amps up for auction but the third time he has held an auction for his guitars.
Clapton said: “I am very happy that Bonhams have agreed to host my third guitar auction in aid of The Crossroads Centre, Antigua, the drug and alcohol rehabiliatation centre I founded in 1998.”
