Courtney Love has stepped up her war of words with Dave Grohl by accusingthe rocker of destroying Kurt Cobain's memory by allowing a Nirvana songto be used in the Muppets movie.
It made Jason Segel feel special, but Dave knows Kurt wouldn't have wanted to be a Muppet
The Foo Fighters frontman, who played in Nirvana with Love's late husband Cobain, was forced to defend himself this week (beg09Apr12) after the Hole star claimed he had "hit on" her teenage daughter Frances Bean Cobain.
Grohl vehemently denied the allegations, branding Love's comments "another hateful Twitter rant", and the blonde star has now hit back by accusing her adversary of staining Cobain's legacy by letting Smells Like Teen Spirit be featured in Jason Segel's 2011 kids film.
She tells the New York Post, "(I am) certainly not going to retract anything... Unfortunately, Dave is on another Kurt rant, by turning him intoa Muppet and hitting on his daughter. We got no money from The Muppets, we got nothing. It made Jason Segel feel special, but Dave knows Kurt wouldn't have wanted to be a Muppet".
