Courtney Love keeps tracks

Courtney Love has not axed her album.Reports suggested that Courtney have scrapped songs recorded with Linda Perry in order to record afresh with former Larrikin Love guitarist Micko Larkin in London. Now Courtney has railed against any such reports on her blog, saying she is merely "rerecording," elements of the record. She wrote: "I have nothing but 100% positive things to say about Linda [Perry] and that doesn't change. I have not 'scrapped' any record, no 'scrapping' is going on, simply a few retakes - especially since all those recordings were leaked to the net."Don't assume you know any songs on this album. Some may sound somewhat familiar or even have the same titles and arrangements a few, a few are just precious diamonds I wouldn't touch but there's tons of new ones which you haven't a clue about. I know 'cos I haven't finished the lyrics. This nonsense about 'scrapping' an album is total bulls**t, that's all I can say for now."Love's follow up to 2004's commercially disappointing 'America's Sweetheart' is expected to be finished by July, ready for an autumn release.
