Gaga, Daniels And Shepherd on Top At Glaad Media Awards

Lady Gaga, Lee Daniels and Cybill Shepherd were the top winners at the 21st Annual Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (Glaad) Media Awards in San Francisco, California on Saturday night (05Jun10).

The Bad Romance hitmaker was honored with the Outstanding Music Artist award in recognition of her most recent album, The Fame Monster, and for her efforts in campaigning for equality in the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (Lgbt) community.

Shepherd and filmmaker Daniels accepted the Golden Gate Award and the DavidsonValentini Award respectively for their work promoting equal rights for the Lgbt community.

Robert Hanson, president of Levi Strauss Americas, earned the San Francisco Local Hero Award while the 2008 movie Ask Not was triumphant in the Outstanding Documentary category.
