Cyndi Lauper has defended fellow pop star Madonna's rumoured relationship with a man 28 years her junior.The Material Girl, 50, has been widely criticised in the press for her alleged romance with 22-year-old Brazilian model Jesus Luz.

You know, how many old geezers do you see with young women? What's the double standard? Who cares?

But Lauper insists its unfair to judge Madonna for having a younger boyfriend, pointing out that it isn't unusual for a male star to step out with a woman half his age. She says, "You know, how many old geezers do you see with young women? What's the double standard? Who cares?"
