David Hasselhoff Regrets Not Pursuing Princess Diana.... Actor David Hasselhoff wishes he'd romantically pursued "friend" Diana, Princess Of Wales while she was alive, because they "clicked" when they met.The 53-year-old star recounts his meeting with the royal in his new autobiography Making Waves. Hasselhoff says, "I could sense her pain. I always admired her. I probably would have gone after her if circumstances had been different. In the end I just wanted to be a friend and to hang out with her. She looked like she really needed a friend and we really clicked".
