Damon Albarn has torpedoed hopes of a new Blur album by reportedly walking out of a recording session with the band.

Music producer William Orbit has revealed the onoff group had been laying down new tracks with him in a studio ahead of their reunion show at London's Hyde Park in August (12).

Fans had hoped longrunning rumours the Parklife hitmakers were planninga new album were true - but Orbit has now revealed their secret sessionswere aborted when Albarn quit without warning last month (Apr12).

Orbit tells NME magazine, "They were getting some demons out of the way. The new stuff sounded amazing.

"Then it all stopped suddenly. It was all over with Damon, and the rest of the band were like, 'Is that it?'"
