David Hasselhoff's ex-wife Pamela Bach has asked for a court order to ensure she'll receive spousal support payments from the actor in the event of his death.

The former couple - who share teenage daughters Hayley, 16, and Taylor-Ann, 19 - ended their 16-year marriage in 2006 and have endured a lengthydivorce trial.

Hasselhoff's health was publicly questioned when his alcohol problems were exposed the following year (07), after home video footage of the actor in a drunken state leaked onto the internet.

The 56-year-old checked into a rehabilitation facility in a bid to kickhis drink demons after public pleas from Bach, who admitted she was worried he could drink himself to death.

According to Tmz, Bach has now taken action on her concern and has asked a California judge to order Hasselhoff to maintain his current lifeinsurance policy, which would pay her spousal support from beyond the actor's grave.
