Warring pop brothers Ray and Dave Davies are in talks to reunite legendary band the Kinks to record a new album.
The feuding pair has not worked together since the British band split in 1996, and have barely been on speaking terms ever since, communicating only through occasional emails.
Their ongoing spat worsened last year (10) when guitarist Dave declinedto take part in a tribute concert for their late bandmate Pete Quaife inJune (10), and in October (10) he ruled out a reunion with frontman Ray.
But now Dave has revealed he is finally talking to his brother about reforming the You Really Got Me hitmakers to record a new album - once Ray completes his touring commitments.
He tells Mojo magazine, "Me and Ray have been talking about doing something. Well, he keeps saying it but then he goes on tour. But it'd be niceto do it, and it'd be silly not to do it when we can. "It has to be done properly.
"We wouldn't do it with a tribute band, putit that way. At least me and Ray are talking".
