Ditto Goes Solo

Beth Ditto, Gossip frontwoman, plans to make her mark on the music industry as a solo artist in 2011.

Ditto, the ‘Standing in the Way of Control’ hitmaker, is teaming up with British dance music producers Simian Mobile Disco, formed by James Ford and Jas Shaw of the band Simian, who she has worked with in the past. The EP set hasn’t yet been named but is set to hit the shelves in January.

The singer first worked with the pair on a song called Cruel Intentions for their 2009 album, Temporary Pleasure.

Ditto's record is to feature four new songs and will be released on 12-inch vinyl and as a download. A specific release date had not yet been confirmed.
