The rock legend scrawled the words to four verses of the iconic protest song on a scrap of paper in the 1960s - and experts at Sotheby's in New York estimated the item would fetch between $200,000 (£133,330) to $300,000 (£200,000). The lyrics proved to be an even bigger draw at the 10 December sale.


Hedge fund manager and contemporary art collector Adam Sender placed the winning bid by phone, according to auction house bosses.
