Sick Elton Scraps Another Show

Sir Elton John is disappointed after scrapping a second concert in Britain while he recovers from a serious bout of influenza.

The Rocket Man was hoping to have been back on his feet after pulling out of a show at the Sheffield Arena in Sheffield, England on Friday (23Oct09).

But the 62 year old cancelled a second concert at Newcastle Metro RadioArena in England on Saturday (24Oct09) after doctors advised him to rest.

The crowds are always great music fans and not being able to put on this special show for Newcastle is upsetting

A spokesperson for the star says, "Elton is bitterly disappointed at missing (his) Red Piano concert in Newcastle, one of his favourite areas to perform.

"The crowds are always great music fans and not being able to put on this special show for Newcastle is upsetting".

Both gigs are due to be rescheduled shortly, while other concerts next week (beg26Oct09) currently remain unaffected.
