Socially conscious rockers U2 poked fun at themselves on U.S. TV by reading out a list of the top 10 lessons they've learned after spending the last three decades in the spotlight.During their week-long stint on The Late Show with David Letterman, the band took a break from performing on Wednesday (04Mar09) to make light of their international campaigns for human rights and social justice by calling out a more lighthearted list of 'lessons'.A lot of people think I'm the guy who sang with Cher; while The Edge laughed, I suck at Guitar Hero and Cool name: The Edge, Uncool name: StingAnd guitarist The Edge took the opportunity to take a swipe at rival rocker Sting, giving an impromptu edit to the list to dub the British musician "uncool", sending his bandmates into fits of laughter. The Edge was joined by bandmates Bono, Adam Clayton, and Larry Mullen, Jr., who took turns reading the list.One of Bono's entries read, "A lot of people think I'm the guy who sang with Cher"; while The Edge laughed, "I suck at Guitar Hero" and "Cool name: The Edge, Uncool name: Sting".Its also been revealled U2 star Bono's latest onstage character has been inspired by Elvis Presley's fictional brother Jesse.The rocker debuted his new idea at the Grammy Awards and admits he liked his new look.
