Eminem: 'Hotel Robbery Reports Are False'

Eminem has dismissed reports his Los Angeles hotel room was burgled last weekend (31May09) - insisting rumours of the incident are fabricated.

The Without Me hitmaker's suite was allegedly raided by thieves while he attended the Mtv Movie Awards and reports claimed the assailants made off with a $60,000 (£40,000) diamond necklace and Eminem's laptop.

The only thing was that I lost a Nike watch that we were looking for. The rest of it is made-up like half the stuff out there.

The star admits he had misplaced a watch in the hotel room, but is adamant he was not robbed and insists the majority of rumours about him in the press are false.

Eminem proved he was a good sport at the ceremony after agreeing to let a butt-naked Cohen, portraying his gay Austrian fashion expert character Bruno, land in his lap during the Mtv event - prompting him to storm out of the room and trick viewers into thinking he had been pranked.
