Black Eyed Peas' frontwoman Fergie respected the strict rules of Malaysia's Muslim population by covering up during a gig in Kuala Lumpur on Friday (25Sep09).

The country's government initially banned Muslim citizens from attending the Boom Boom Pow hitmakers' gig at a theme park as it was sponsored by Irish alcohol giant Guinness.

Officials later lifted the ban, allowing anyone over 18 years old to attend, but didn't give an explanation for the U-turn.

And Fergie, who usually struts around in revealing, sexy outfits onstage, showed her appreciation for the ban reversal by sticking to the strict dress code, covering up her body in jeans and a t-shirt.

The crowed of 5,000 went wild to hits including Where is the Love and I Gotta Feeling.

The Black Eyed Peas are one of a number of international acts who have been forced to change their stage antics in Malaysia - Beyonce, Gwen Stefani and Avril Lavigne have all faced protests over their sexy routines and costumes.
