The BBC’s plethora of radio stations is renowned for their cracking live sessions, so it was only a matter of time before their premier digital station 6 Music got in on the act and joined big brothers Radio1 and 2 in releasing a collection of live tracks.
This Is BBC Radio 6 Music Live they’ve done exactly that, with artists such as The Killers, Lana Del Rey, The Vaccines and Florence + The Machine all a part of the two disc set, set for release .
It’s all been done to commemorate the 10 year anniversary of the radio station’s birth, in which time it’s easily established itself as a home to quality music, both classic and absolutely cutting edge, winning ‘National Station of the Year’ at the prestigious Sony Radio Academy Awards this year 2012.
