FLU-RIDDEN GARBAGE CANCEL FIRST NIGHT OF TOURAll four members of rockers GARBAGE were struck down with influenza last Friday (08APR05), forcing them to cancel the first night of the band's world tour. The sickly WHY DO YOU LOVE ME? stars cancelled their gig in Seattle, Washington, just 10 minutes before doors opened after ditching all radio appearances for the day.Frontwoman SHIRLEY MANSON suffered the most with the debilitating virus, sparking fears for her throat - the singer recently had surgery to remove a cyst from her vocal chord. But despite feeling less than perfect, the band decided the show must go on and went ahead with the second night of the tour two days later (10APR05) in San Francisco, California.Guitarist DUKE ERIKSON says, "The whole band came down with flu on the first night of the American tour and Shirley was by far the hardest hit, so we had to cancel the show."Shirley insisted on doing the second show in San Francisco, and she really bucked up and delivered an amazing show. I just thought she would stand there at best, but she gave it her all."0Comments | Be the first to comment!
