George Harrison could be a wildchild

George Harrison's widow has exploded the myth that the late star was the 'quiet' Beatle saying he could be quite the wildman when he wasn't meditating.

In a new Rolling Stone article, Olivia Harrison reveals the guitarist lived by extremes and he wasn't just the peaceful, gardening fan he was portrayed to be.

She says: "He had a crazy side, too. He liked to have fun... He could be very, very quiet or he could be very, very loud. I mean once he got going, that was it.

"He wasn't, you know, a wimp, I'll tell you that. He could outlast anyone."
