An exhibition honouring late Beatles star George Harrison in his hometownhas been closed after a rare signed photograph of the star was stolen.

The For George tribute opened in early August (09) in his native Liverpool, England, displaying memorabilia and rare artifacts from the musician's career.

I want to make it clear that 10,000 people have seen this exhibition and it is onlyone person who has done this. I do not want it to end on a negative note

But organisers have shut the gallery after one of the prized exhibits, worth $1,600 (£1,000), was taken by a visitor.

Denise Theophilus, who helped put together the event, says, "I want to make it clear that 10,000 people have seen this exhibition and it is onlyone person who has done this. I do not want it to end on a negative note".
