Halliwell's former bandmates Melanie Brown and Victoria Beckham have both opted to raise their children in Los Angeles.

But the 36-year-old - who currently lives in London - refuses to leave the U.K. in fear of landing her daughter Bluebell Madonna with a U.S. accent.

She says, "I want my daughter to have an English accent because it's really elegant - also my friends and family are nearby.

"I have got some friends in Los Angeles but they are more dependable here.".
