Fading solo star Geri Halliwell gives up hope of a number 1 hitFormer SPICE GIRL GERI HALLIWELL has given up trying to get a solo number one - she's happy with any chart position.Halliwell's solo career started with a bang after she left the girl group in 1998, with her debut solo album going double platinum. But support has waned in recent years, and her latest album release is in danger of disappearing from the charts as soon as it appears - the first single DESIRE only made number 22 in the singles chart.But Halliwell insists her music ambitions have changed, and she's not so worried about statistics.She says, "The importance of chart positions has changed for me. In a material world, statistics and numbers matter but I realise now that I am not going to please everyone."
