Guns N' Roses' big comeback album hasn't been the record-breaker many experts expected it to be - early estimates suggest Chinese Democracy will miss out on the top of the U.S. charts by 200,000 copies. The Killers beat Axl Rose's act to the top of the British charts on Sunday (30Nov08) and so far Chinese Democracy has only topped album countdowns in Brazil in Finland. The release has landed at two in the U.K. and New Zealand, and it has debuted at three in Australia, Norway and Japan, among other major territories. In Spain, it failed to make the top 10.And, according to early sales figures, the album will score a 300,000 sale-week in America - up to 200,000 short of Kanye West's 808s & Heartbreak, which is expected to hit the top of the U.S. charts on Wednesday (03Dec08).
