Gwyneth Paltrow Not Performing With Husband

Gwyneth Paltrow's publicist has shot down reports the actress will perform onstage with her husband Chris Martin's band Coldplay in Las Vegas on New Year's Eve (31Dec10).
   
A New York Post report suggests the Oscar winner will join the Brits, rapper Jay-Z and his wife Beyonce for the finale of their Cosmopolitan hotel show, but the actress' representative insists that although Paltrow will be in Sin City for the New Year celebrations, she has no plans to perform.
   
The rep says, "There's absolutely no truth (to the rumour)."
 
Martin and Paltrow rarely appear in public together and the New Year's Eve gig get-together would be a real coup for fans of the couple who made it to the hot-ticket show.

The actress will be back on the big screen in the new year with her latest movie Country Strong, which sees her take on the role of a washed up country singer.

Paltrow learned to play the guitar and had vocal lessons during her preparation for the movie.
