Ashlee Simpson-Wentz has opened up about her new role as mum - weeks after giving birth to her first son with rocker Pete Wentz.The couple welcomed little Bronx Mowgli on 20 November (08).

Writing on her MySpace.com blog, the pop singer greets her fans: "Hey everyone! I haven't written in a while, just wanted to write and check in! Motherhood is the most fantastic experience I have ever been thru (sic), Bronx makes me laugh and smile everyday!" The 24-year-old made her first public appearance on Monday (08Dec08) - three weeks after giving birth to little Bronx - to watch Wentz perform with his band Fall Out Boy at a Hollywood nightspot.
