Marlon Jackson has commended Harry Connick, jr. for reprimanding the behaviour of six white men dancing as the Jackson 5 on a Aussie talent show -but is adamant the performers didn't mean to cause offence.

A group of performers, dubbed the Jackson Jive, left Connick, Jr.

dumbstruck on long-running Australian show Hey Hey It's Saturday, after they painted their faces black and danced behind a Michael Jackson wannabe, whodonned white face paint.

But the group hasn't faced a backlash from a certain family - the Jacksons insist they were not offended by the act

The routine caused controversy all over the globe, with the show's hostissuing an apology to Connick, Jr., who earlier insisted he "definitelywouldn't have done" the show if he had known about the act's content.

But the group hasn't faced a backlash from a certain family - the Jacksons insist they were not offended by the act.

Marlon tells Access Hollywood, "Wow, and you want a comment from us about that? Man, if they turned up looking like that in the United States! "They probably weren't trying to be offensive about it or anything of that nature with the family.

We thank Harry for (speaking out), but we also understand that they weren't trying to be disrespectful for the family".
