Guitarist Izzy Stradlin has broken his silence on Guns 'N Roses' Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction by thanking his old bandmates.

Big thanks to all my bandmates who helped get us to where we aretoday

The rocker reveals he was waiting to see "what would become of the GNR induction" just days after frontman Axl Rose declined the accolade and announced he would not be attending Saturday's gala in Cleveland, Ohio.

Stradlin has released his own statement via former bandmate Duff McKagan's Seattle Weekly blog.

He writes, "I would like to say thank you and gracias to RRHOF (Rock and Roll Hall of Fame) for the acknowledgement of our works over the years asa band. Big thanks to all my bandmates who helped get us to where we aretoday. And, of course, thank you to all of the people on this planet (including, but not limited to, the entire universe and beyond, etc., etc., etc.) who have supported Guns N' Roses from day one. Adios, Amigos!" McKagan adds, "Izzy asked me to do him a favor and sort of get this outfor him. Izzy don't Tweet, etc".

It is still unclear whether Stradlin will join McKagan and Slash at theHall of Fame induction ceremony.
