Jamie T Postpones Gigs

British singer Jamie T has been forced to postpone six shows on his U.K. tour because he's suffering from laryngitis.

The Sheila hitmaker was due to kick off the set of concerts in Bristol,England on Thursday (01Oct09), but has cancelled the scheduled slots after failing to recover following the end of his Australian dates.

A spokesperson for the singer says, "It is with regret that, after seeking medical advice, Jamie T is to cancel the first six shows of his upcoming Kings and Queens tour. After suffering from a bout of laryngitis on hisrecent Australian tour - which culminated in Jamie having to postpone the last two shows - his voice has not sufficiently recovered for him to begin the tour at the Bristol O2 Academy on October 1".

The cancelled gigs are to be rescheduled, with all original tickets still valid.

He is due to resume performing in Glasgow, Scotland on 9 October (09).
