Janet Jackson has turned down the headlining slot at her brother's tribute concert.
The singer has declined the offer because it coincides with the involuntary manslaughter trial of the doctor accused of administering the drug that killer the King of Pop.
Janet was expected to be among the artists performing at the star-studded show in Wales on October 8, but she has made it clear she won't be there.
In a statement released on what would have been her brother’s 53rd birthday, she says: "Because of the trial, the timing of this tribute to our brother would be too difficult for me."
Dr. Conrad Murray's delayed trial is scheduled to begin in Los Angeles next month. Murray has pleaded not guilty to all charges against him.
The Michael Forever - The Tribute Concert will feature Christina Aguilera, Smokey Robinson, and Cee Lo Green.
