JAY KAY'S COCAINE CHRISTMAS SHAMEJAMIROQUAI star JAY KAY almost destroyed his relationship with his family when he spiralled into cocaine addiction.The VIRTUAL INSANITY star, who is now clean after ditching his habit last year (04), is still haunted by the heartbreaking memories of Christmas 2003, when his actress mother KAREN KAY discovered him in a drug-addled state.He recalls, "Christmas Day 2003 - I forget about all the promises I'd made to myself, and to others."All that matters now is getting hold of some of this stuff. Next thing I know, it's 10am the following morning and there's a knock at the door."It's my mum, here to spend the day. 'Merry Christmas!' she's saying."My eyes are like golf balls. I'm completely dishevelled, having passed out fully dressed on the couch. And she knows."
