Jimi Hendrix's life is to be celebrated with the opening of a park in the guitar great's native Washington next year.
Plans for Jimi Hendrix Park, which will be located in the city's Central District in Seattle, were revealed last week .
The green area will include stepping stones featuring the rocker's lyrics, a butterfly garden and a performance area.
The park, which is being partly funded by donations from Jimi's sister, Janie, will open to mark the 70th anniversary of the guitar legend's birth.
