Joe McElderry Is Now A Model - Music Career Not Taking Off Mate?

Joe McElderry looks to have ditched the music career (thank God) and signed himself up as the new face of international top modelling agency Next Models.

Whilst we concede that Joe might be a lovely little bloke, we were over the moon when Rage Against The Machine pipped him to the topspot at Christmas and now we’re relieved that modelling agencies are finally letting Dale Winton lookalikes onto their books.

Joe’s first photo shoot was with fashion photographer Simon Harris, who famously shot Naomi Campbell for last year’s August edition of I-D magazine and Joe said; “I couldn’t believe it when I saw the pictures of myself! I really enjoyed the shoot and I’m so pleased to be signed to Next. I’m really enjoying learning more about this industry and it will be really exiting to continue doing this alongside my music. “
 
Photographer Simon Harris says - “Joe is a natural in front of the camera, has an amazing face and takes direction very well. He's a lovely guy and I look forward to working with him again."
