People only write sensationalist stuff on Twitterso people will read it. I can definitely confirm that Xfm have got it wrong
The rumours began on social networking site Twitter.com and are said tohave been sparked by a report from British rock radio station Xfm.
But Kaiser Chiefs drummer Nick Hodgson is adamant the stories are not true, he tells Nme.com, "People only write sensationalist stuff on Twitterso people will read it. I can definitely confirm that Xfm have got it wrong".
The news came just a day after guitarist Noel Gallagher walked away from Oasis, leaving the future of the iconic British band in doubt.
The Kaiser Chiefs acknowledged the drama by closing their Leeds set with their hit Oh My God and adding in the beat from Oasis' track Live Forever.
