Rapper Kid Cudi has pulled the plug on his Twitter.com account for a second time.

Going away for a while. Since y'all won't hear from me, I hope you all like the album when it comes out Feb 28th. I really worked hardto do my best. Thank You

The Day 'N' Nite star first closed his page on the social networking site in 2009 and stayed offline for almost two years, logging back on in early 2011.

But he told fans on Friday (03Feb12) that he had decided to close his account again "for a while".

He wrote, "Going away for awhile. Since y'all won't hear from me, I hope you all like the album when it comes out Feb 28th. I really worked hard to do my best. Thank You".

The move comes just weeks after the star defended trashing the stage atThe Heatwave Music Festival in Melbourne, Australia after organisers cut his performance due to time restrictions.
