Kid Rock 'Regrets' Stage Name

KID ROCK regrets choosing his stage name as now that he is 40, calling himself Kid seems ridiculous.

The Cowboy hitmaker, who was born Robert Ritchie, selected his alter-ego when he was a teenager, and he accepts he may have made a mistake.

  He says, "The only person who had a dumber name than me was the Fresh Prince (Will Smith). Hey, it sounded like a cool rap name when I was 16, but it stuck, and now it's me. I'll be an 88-year-old man (saying), 'Call me the Kid!'"

'The Kid' is wellr espected throught the Rock world, and married Pamela Anderson in 2005 after a rocky relationship, they later divorced and Kid Rock has focused on his new band 'Twisted Brown trucker.

Back in the Day he was known for his wild ways, even trashing several hotel rooms, but now that the Rocker has hit 40, he admits that it's time to take a more calm approach on life.
