Lady GaGa might spend all her money on telephone hats and skyscaper shoes, but I surely hope she’s got some put away for a rainy day after reports have emerged that she’s being sued for $35 million (£23 million).
Apparently, Rob Fusari reckons he’s responsible for making her the star that she is today, and whilst he acknowledges receiving cheques totalling $611,000 for his work he still thinks he deserves more - namely a 20% share of royalties, 15% of merchandising and other money owed under previous agreements. According to the Associated Press.
The lawsuit, which was filed on Wednesday in a Manhattan state court, reads: "All business is personal." And it goes on to suggest that, Fusari spent months working with GaGa every day, shaping her into the star she is today, as well as co-writing the songs 'Paparazzi' and 'Beautiful, Dirty, Rich' on the award-winning album The Fame.
What’s more, he’s also claiming that his relationship with Miss GaGa / Stefani Germanotta became romantic, despite claiming that he was underwhelmed by Lady GaGa when they first met in March 2006.
