LeAnn Rimes Quits Show With VBlood Vessel Damage

RIMES PULLS OUT OF TV SHOW WITH BROKEN BLOOD VESSELCountry singer LeANN RIMES has been forced to temporarily quit her job as host of talent show NASHVILLE STAR after discovering she has a broken blood vessel in one of her vocal cords.The BLUE singer has been told to rest by medics and, as a result, has cancelled all upcoming personal appearances.The problem stemmed from a severe case of viral bronchitis, which Rimes suffered earlier this year (05).

Fellow country star SARA EVANS will take over hosting duties on Nashville Star while Rimes recuperates at home in Nashville,Tennessee.

The voice problem is not expected to effect Rimes' upcoming appearance with the BOSTON POPS ORCHESTRA on 23 May (05), when she'll launch the new Argent Mortgage Orchestrated concert series in Boston, Massachusetts. Meanwhile in other female music news: Pop beauty KYLIE MINOGUE is finally learning to play an instrument - 18 years after she started her chart career.

The sexy singer is headlining this year's (JUN05) GLASTONBURY FESTIVAL in Somerset, England and believes it's time she learnt a new musical skill.

Minogue enthuses, "My drummer is teaching me the drums. It's my preparation for Glastonbury.

"Come back and see me in six months."
