Rapper Lil Wayne has confessed to a secret hobby - he's a passionate bowler.

The Lollipop hitmaker, real name Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr., admits he spends much of his free time playing Nintendo's Wii games console with his daughter Reginae, 10, and has perfected the art of virtual tennis, bowling and golf.

But his sporting interests go deeper than computer games - the hip-hop superstar has invested in his own bowling accessories and owns four custom-made bowling balls.

In a pre-Grammy show interview with presenter Katie Couric, eight-time nominee Lil Wayne says, "If you talk to a professional bowler, he would explain or she'll explain how your own ball and your own shoes and perfect lanes are important."

The programme is due to air in the U.S. on Wednesday (04Feb09), while the Grammy Awards take place on 8 February (09).
