Rap superstar Lil Wayne is set to thrill fans with some good news - his latest album Rebirth is finally ready to hit record stores after three delays.
The Lollipop hitmaker, real name Dwayne Carter, Jr., has been preparingto drop the disc for months after it was originally slated to hit storesin early April (09).
That's all I ever want them to expect from me
Rebirth was subsequently postponed until May (09), before it was pushed back again to allow label bosses at Universal Records more time to clear all the samples used on the project.
But Wayne insists the record in now ready for release - and is adamant it's worth the wait, as it takes him away from hip-hop and introduces a more rocky edge to the rapper's sound.
He tells Mtv.com, "Expect great music. That's all I ever want them to expect from me. I wanted to grow and show my growth as well. It's a difference from when you go in a room and come out and you're better and everyone says, 'How did you do that?' So with this album, I wanted everyone to see my growing pains".
