A rock photographer has filed a law suit against music industry giant Live Nation for using an iconic photograph of Pete Townshend.
Ross Halfin took the iconic photograph in 1978 during The Who’s final performance with the original drummer Keith Moon.
Halfin has claimed that Live Nation have “grossly misappropriated” the image on merchandise without his prior permission.
The law suit which is filed at the Manhattan Federal Court states that Live Nation have used the photograph on lighters and lithographs and “even a blanket.”
The damages have yet to be specified.
