Loretta Lynn’s daughter has dismissed reports her mother is on the verge of death after battling influenza.
The 74-year-old country legend left fans and friends fearing for her health after uncharacteristically cancelling a string of shows earlier this month.
But her daughter, Patsy Lynn Russell, has assured those concerned that her mum is in good health and planning a Christmas trip to her home in the Bahamas.
Lynn Russell says, "She's feeling great," and reveals the singer will return to the U.S. in late January to resume touring.
Lynn has big plans for 2010 - Johnny Cash's son John Carter Cash will produce her upcoming greatest hits album and she'll be among the stars receiving Lifetime Achievement Grammys from the Recording Academy on 30 January.
