Hip-hop star Lupe Fiasco has defended his controversial remarks aimed at U.S. President Barack Obama in a heated TV interview with top political pundit Bill O'REILLY.

The rapper hit the headlines last week (ends17Jun11) when he labelled Obama the "biggest terrorist" in America during a chat about the lyrics tohis song Words I Never Said.

The Superstar hitmaker, who hails from the President's adopted hometownof Chicago, Illinois, openly revealed his dissatisfaction with Obama's foreign policy stance, stating, "To me, the biggest terrorist is Obama in the United States of America... The root cause of terrorists is the stuffthe U.S. government allows to happen. The foreign policies that we have in place in different countries that inspire people to become terrorists... I don't want you to bomb some village in the middle of nowhere".

O'Reilly took Fiasco to task over his outburst on his O'Reilly Factor show on Monday night (20Jun11)

O'Reilly took Fiasco to task over his outburst on his O'Reilly Factor show on Monday night (20Jun11).

The newsman accused the rapper of simplifying terrorism, insisting he should be more careful about what he says when young people are listening.

The host said, "You go out there and you talk to a lot of younger people, and this is what gets me - your constituency are not exactly politicalscience PhDs".

But Fiasco refused to back down, stating his attack on Obama, and all the Presidents before him, was "really just an expression of me trying to understand, critically, this society... You (should) fight the root causes of terrorism".

The hip-hop star struggled to make sense of his argument as political news veteran O'Reilly continued to dismiss his argument and then asked hisguest if he was OK with the killing of Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden.

Fiasco responded, "Hunting down a criminal, a person who is responsiblefor the deaths of innocent people; there's nothing wrong with that".

The heated interview ended with O'Reilly urging his guest to get his facts right about the reason behind the decision to send American troops toAfghanistan, insisting it was to halt a Taliban upsurge, not to hunt down bin Laden.

The two men argued over the need for the American invasion before Fiasco ended the TV chat by joking that O'Reilly should rename his show "the Fiasco Factor".
